2018.07.20. One more Flash.

Bought some when Silicone Power FIRMA F80 flash drive, liked it shape, it's a bit unusual but it lied in the box for a long time. Until now, now I decided to use it to modify external look of it and make something new.

The case of it is a bit longer then ordinary but it's not an issue to use it, so the idea was to build one shape with the spring alarm drum from the old alarm clock from the soviet times. The drum is made from brass and has very suitable inner diameter so it's exactly what I need.

Not much copper, few brass screws, several machined parts, then add copper wire, soldering and...

The drum is rotateable by fingers very easy in both directions but extension cable is the must to use the drive. 

Checking, formatting to get ready to use. It's USB 2.0., slow but still useful. Can be disassembled and used as it was until modification. Amm, the drive itself was not modified, take it out and use how you want.

2018.07.04. Next Flash Form №49.

Ready for use, simple, a bit bigger then others which I made earlier. 16GB USB 2.0., made from copper & brass. Need to be used with extension cable only due to the weight.

Nothing special, pretty simple, can be upgradable to 32/64GB from the Kingston SE9 flash drives family. The drive itself can be used as it is, of course.

Rotating wheel is used to pull the drive in/out of the case, no force is needed to do this, it rotates very easily.

I have several SE9 flash drives, so will make more such forms or just one of them will be a bit different from these.

That's all for now, need to complete started projects, make the caps for them, then will post more works.
