2017.11.02. Steampunk Table/Wall Lamp.

Made the Lamp as an example of brass and copper use in hand made works. Some time ago I purchased PHILIPS S19 T37 LED tube bulb and decided to build something around this tube. Not so very complex but still unusual. And in Steampunk style, sure.
The bulb has not screws for holding but some special contacts, so it was difficult to find something for making holders. But I found very simple solution.
Lamp finished but I need to make transportation box for it, cause it's fragile enough, and it's not comfortable to carry it if you decided to. There's a need to carry out the lamp to the company, which asked me to make this device.
A bit of rubber rings for isolation for safety needs. I think it's not a perfect solution but it's defends fingers from accidental electric shock. The copper caps on the top and on the bottom, which hold LED tube and connect the power to it, are fully isolated, so no electric shock is possible to get if you touch them. All parts of the Lamp are isolated. LED bulb is centered in the holders by plastic insertions very good, thus it stays in the position tight enough with no possibility to move in any direction.
Power cord is long - 3 m, so it should be good for any user for connection the Lamp to power socket. The LED tube is warm white - 2700K, bright for a bit maybe - 480 lm but it is so. The basis of the lamp can be rotated on 90 degrees for mounting it on the wall, so you can use it like a brace. Mounting screws included in the set.
The bottom part of the transportation box with the basis, which holds the Lamp properly, is made from aluminum alloy of 3 mm thick. It's light, not so heavy as brass would be.
All parts are hand made, no milling machines was used making the Lamp, hand electric drill was used only for all this. So, now I busy with making transportation box. And it's more complex for me make it then I expected. Cause I never made such long cases - 62 cm. Pffff, still need an inspiration to make it.
That's all for now, I will post all remaining after I finish the transportation case.
